In the shattered pieces of my heart,
There lives a tiny spark,
Of love not completely torn apart,
Maybe one day love will re embark.
As the pieces scattered on the floor,
The pain came screaming through the door,
And hit with brick wall force,
To settle like never before.
Love morphed to anger and then,
The tears like rain fell again,
Love seeped back in,
Forgiveness followed quickly therein.
A deeply seeded well of grief,
Leaves this soul lost and incomplete,
No one will ever again compete,
For my love won't be so sweet.
Pain that has a lonely refrain,
Heartache will forever remain,
Yet the tattered pieces of my heart won't complain,
About a love that still sustains.

A deep abyss of grief surrounds me,
In a sea of pure darkness I weep,
There is no sunshine left for me to see,
My shattered heart no longer sings with glee.
In death there is nothing but grief,
From these tears there's no relief,
Only a blackness that won't let me be,
Adrift on an endless aching sea.
My fragile heart shattered the day he passed,
We barely got to start our dance,
Yet I'm still caught by his hypnotic trance,
His memory will haunt me through life's long stance.
My heart is a deep chasm of darkness,
This loss is an aching void of blackness,
Where sunshine is a vain weakness,
And love will never again show it's happiness.

My heart is a deep chasm of grief,
For the love of my life has been taken from me,
He was my sweet brave Knight,
And I was his forever Princess.
He brought a joy to my life,
Where before was only blackness,
He gave me such amazing joy,
And sunshine in the darkness.
A river of blackness has come back to my life,
There's no more joy or happy delight,
Just a darkened abyss of bleak blight,
His death has taken away all my light.

In his eyes was the warmth of the world,
His heart was generous and kinder then any one else,
A sense of humor that would brighten the darkest day,
He was my heart, my soul, my forever Knight.
In his soul was a spirit of giving that endeared him to all,
But to my heart he gave the greatest gift that can't be bought or sold,
A love that was the most wonderful ever to be believed,
With a heavy heart I will forever be lost in grief.
In his heart was a love like no other,
Given freely to me and was adored,
For he was a cherished treasure to be revered,
In a love that can't be replaced or ignored.
In his spirit was the joy of a child,
With wide eyed wonder to be explored,
He brought a joy to all he encountered,
With a happiness that can't be conquered.
In his heart my love will always live,
For no other will fill the empty void,
That my soul now drowns in his passing,
Merle was the most amazing person on this planet.
